Josef Walker facilitates ecumenical and interfaith dialogues on global and community issues in greater Kansas City. As a lay pastoral minister in the Catholic tradition for over 20 years, Josef directed adult and youth formation and outreach. His practical experience informs his new work with congregations and neighborhoods building relationships of trust and solidarity and discerning and achieving goals.

Josef speaks at conferences, colleges, and business workshops on religious and ethnic diversity and social justice. He has served as a representative to national and regional ecumenical and interfaith dialogues and collaborations.

 A recognized leader in the community, Josef has received numerous acknowledgements, most recently sharing the 2007 Vaisakhi Community Service Award from the Midwest Sikh Community with former Kansas City Mayor Pro Tem Alvin Brooks. He was recently named Community Chaplin for CRES - community resources for exploring spirituality. Josef serves on many boards including the City of Independence Heritage Festival and the Diocesan Catholic Campaign for Human Development Advisory Committee.

Josef is married to Susan Walker, Director of Development at Avila University. Susan is a popular presenter on liturgical issues and author of Triduum! They have one son, Justin, and daughter-in-law, Nicole, who live in Washington, D.C.
